a friend of mine took a nice picture <br />

My first guess would be some kind of cartilaginous fish (Class of sharks and rays), but...<br />

Is there any fish to catch in the Philipines coastline ?<br />
I doubt.. after searching around and asking in the net. - I get usually same answers : No fish here.. or very little...  they are cactched or the sea are destroyed..<br />
is it really so bad ?<br />
I allways imagined it must be  easyer to go on angling in Philipines with the 7000 islands there most be something..better than Thailand,,, <br />
can anyone help or advise ?<br />
It cant be true there is no fish to catch . of do the Philipine...<br />

I really like to get an Open Water Course, but the thing is i don&#039;t know where i can get the cheapest or a &quot;local rate&quot;. most dive shops told me  i can get it cheaper if I&#039;m in a group, how many people need to join to be considered a group? 2? 3?.... Also after getting licensed(OPC) how much are the current local rates per dive.( I already have the gears or equipment, well technically its not mine but my cousin is willing to let me use:confused it once i get certified.<br />

I try to ask resorts for a local rate, but I haven&#039;t had luck. I&#039;m new to Dumaguete (3 months), and I would like to invite my friends to dive as well, but i&#039;d like to go visit the sites first. <br />
<br />
I have my own gear (just need tanks/weights), AOW license with Rescue training, preferably with a group (share boat expenses and meet new buddies).<br />
<br />
Any help would be much appreciated.<br />

      <content:encoded><![CDATA[Aloha divers.  My plan is to be in Dumaguete in mid-February this year and was curious about the water temp and what thickness wetsuits people are wearing.  I suppose it&#039;s like asking how long is a piece of string, as we get people(visitors) here in Hawaii using nothing and some like me using a 5mm-7mm.  Our water temp has been about 77F this month and I&#039;m about ready to go to my 7mm...the same suit I used to use in California(50degree F water).  My blood has thinned since living here and...<br />

Does anyone know something about diving at Sipaway island near St Carlos City  on the noth east coast of Negros<br />
I only see one resort on the map and that is Whispering Palms Resort<br />
How is diving there it looks not so spectacular to me, but maybe i am wrong, but the resort looks nice.<br />

I have seen ocean maps that seen to indicate sharp drop offs in the eastern our islands in the Philippines. Are there any walls in the Dumaguete or Bohol aras?<br />
