KRI is still one of my Favourites here in DGT, and COME ON: This very good Tomato Soup is less than 3 Dollar and a little bit more than 2 Euro - where could you find such a soup in the U.S.of A. or in Europe for that price?! :finger:
And if you produce it by yourself - like me - you will find out that it is not cheaper, in that Quality!

I agree with you in respect of cost here versus home countries but that is not relevant when comparing places in a local region. Obviously it also depends on finding a particular item of the same quality in different places and making a decision based on that comparison.

Also I made the point, I hope, that Kri is good BUT could be so much better. I would certainly go there to eat their tomato soup at the given price but if I find a better or cheaper one elsewhere (and where the overall meal price is more competitive) then I think I vote with my wallet - as I believe most people do.

Though PastaKing is no longer a resto I do frequent as much as years before after opening when Adreino was still managing the place, their tomato soup is nowadays the only reason to return once in a while. @169 peso not the cheapest in town but, my personal opinion, the taste is outstanding.

Our favourite is Moon Cafe and Mafioso.
A good mix between price, good service and quality and we visit both every week. We order mostly fish or seafood and are not beef lovers.
A good dinner for two is only 500p :o o:

Had a nice sushi roll combo (shrimp, crab, mushroom) at Bert’s Sushi on south highway in Bacong. Worth a try if you enjoy sushi rolks.

My favorite place, quality food if you like sushi, their salad really delicious, large selection of sushi, owner and staff do a great job. Only negative, sometimes a little noisy from the highway, dependent on the time of day, many times I order in advance and bring it home. Definitely worth a visit if you like sushi

In many species of fish, the female scatters her eggs into the water, and the male ejects his sperm into the water in the same general area. The key to the success of this method is scattering lots of eggs and sperm so the chances of a sperm finding an egg in the water and fertilizing it are high.

    Go for it!

Scoop on Alima: for vegans/vegetarians, you got to try this place. The lentil soup and squash soup is awesome (about $3.00 for a big bowl). They have black rice.

I've tried the panic palabok which is made of aligue (crab fat) and it is good (for pescatarians). The Korean beef taco, their version of adobo is also good.

I work at SUMC and this place is right beside the hospital hence why I eat there so often. I highly recommend it.
