I live on Siquijor and just heard about Airlink service provider there. They also serve Siquijor. Can anyone tell me about their service in Dumaguete? prices, speed, cap? reliability, customer service and maintenance? Thanks ahead.

I've had a 15M plan with AirLink (their plan 4499) for almost three years. The cost is 4499 PHP / month. I know that sounds expensive, but where I live there is no other option currently that will offer that speed, and I need it for my work so I am glad the service is available. When I run speed tests I am consistently getting at least 15M speed. The service has been very reliable, and in the few instances where I was experiencing a slow speed I emailed them and it was fixed right away, usually within minutes.
You can try these folks, too, who are based at Dumaguete (Sibulan) Airport. It is "on demand" charter, but their prices appear fair for the service, especially if you have enough people to fill the seats (usually 3 or 4.) http://www.royhleflight.com/royhle-air-way-charter/
I made the same mistake. When I saw the thread title I also thought it was an “Air link” by plane. I wish to try that out soon. Then it was clear they were talking about some, presumably satellite internet service. But I didn’t know about that “airlink” either and I am interested about that too since our town in Siquijor does not have landline or even WiMAX from the tower. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Airlink uses a microwave "point to point" radio connection between a central antenna and a small dish type antenna mounted up high at your home. It does not use a satellite in space. It can span long distances and is much faster and lower cost than a satellite connection. Airlink claims to support Siquijor. Here is the blurb on DI. https://dumagueteinfo.com/reviews/listing/airlink-internet-services/
I also used Airlink as PLDT Fiber was not available. Had the 15 Meg deal. Very good, reliable and personal service. Could call the owner or visit the office in Dumaguete anytime during working hours. Highly recommended up here in Valencia.
I should have read the original post more closely. (There are actually a few airlines on the planet also called "AirLink").
