Looking seriously at signing up for the Fil-Products Cable/Internet service. Half a MBPS of Internet with basic digital cable is a 1,089 peso package and should work for me (I use Globe Tattoo stick now so I expect that to be better).

Before I sign on the dotted line I am looking for people with recent experience with the Internet service Fil Products provides. Anyone?

I'm lost here. I don't want or need a phone but does Globe provide cable tv with their Internet service? If so I'm all over that but if not its back to FilProducts where I get the twofer.

I also am very interested to hear from any Fil Products customers, as we have been on Globe for a quite a number of years and their customer service is completely NON existent. There have been times when we have been without service for weeks at a time, and getting anything more than a "for a while, sir" is rare. To give them credit where credit is due, they have been fairly dependable for the better part of a year now, amazingly. To the best of my knowledge Globe does not offer cable TV.

I have no experience with FilProd internet. As far as their cable tv; no complaints or am a happy viewer (lol).
Had Sky cable before and tried their internet but after the 2 weeks trial period decided to stay with Globe.
I think it all depends on the area where you live having few or lots of problems no matter who's your ISP.

Six years ago we moved here from Cebu and the next day, a Friday, we called Fil-Products. They said come right over, so we arrived a few minutes later. The guard slammed the gate in our face while we watched a line of vans and easy-rides queue up to enter the compound. We were told later that on Fridays they closed while employees had to attend a religious cult run by the owners. We called Sky and had Internet and cable before lunch.

Service was good until last year, when Lopez (Sky, ABS-CBN) sold Bayantel with the Internet infrastructure to Globe. I thought We'd cut all exposure to Globe's lamentable service .. O-|

I was in Fil Products to sign up for the package today. They will be at my place within the next couple days with the digital cable tv package but there is a 'hold' on new installations for Internet. I am on the list to be installed when next they do Internet installs but I asked when that was going to be and of course she said:

"Just wait a while sir." We will contact you when new installs are available.

All questions as to why and how long fell on deaf ears with the same stock response. Obviously she has no more idea than I do about what is going on. And yet, it was only 2 days ago that they made the offer to me about signing up for the Internet. Ahhhhh C'est la vie.

I know a guy in Valencia Balugo, and I know for a fact that he has Internet from Filproducts for quite some time (months) and he is reasonably happy with it, what I was surprised though, was that his Cable TV reception was producing very poor pictures on his (early model) LCD TV, I have Filproducts as well but the old analog one and on our CRT TV we have very good pictures but no chance for a Internet connection...
