I do have to admit myself voluntarily to the 'last word' camp - but I think the subject will never be resolved because opinions are as polarised as which sport's team is the best (gangs of people fight over that (or use it as an 'excuse to fight' more likely)) or whether God exists and which religion is the legit one (people kill over that).

History will tell us which opinions were 'more right' as I don't think anyone will be entirely correct on this new (so previously unknown) disease.

I'd love to let it rest, honestly. I'll always provide my support to opinions I agree with, in the absence of anyone else's support.

well, for my part the first thing you always have to do is be able to state a problem so that we can all agree on it (as i believe you have just done for seven and a half billion people)

now we have to decide which one or several of the available options makes the most sense in light of the costs associated with each. and we have to remember, its not just covid we are talking about. it is every threat to human life and liberty.

If a locale locks down and the virus still spreads, what indication exists that a subsequent lock down will do any good?

So could flying, being a politician in the Philippines, standing next to a politician in the Philippines, the flu, heart disease, my smart mouth, or even talking on a cellphone. I would choose all of those risks over being paralyzed by fear. If I catch it and I think the end is coming, I'll come back to this forum and tell you that you were right.

    I don't know.
First, Many people are flying through the Manila airport or staying in specifically designated traveler hotels in Manila without getting exposed to Manila residents.

Second, The government has already stated that the vaccine will be made available to all citizens for free.
