At the end of the zoo next to the turtle area is a gate to a beach.

Looks roped off like a sanctuary.

Seems to be a picnic area too.

Next destination for the day trip is the Banica Swimming Lagoon in Valencia.

It does look somewhat primitive. I hope those tanks were safe enough for the fish. Just looked cramped and dirty.

I've been to one aquarium in my life...a rather incredible place in Tennessee, of all places. A bit more expensive than 10 pesos, though

    Thanks for sharing photos...

Hi Kuya, Would that Aquarium be located in Gatlingburg, Tennessee?

    Yes, it would

Love Gatlinburg, though have only been there twice. The Aquarium was on the agenda during my first visit and I was quite amazed.

Would it help refresh your memory more if I can post you some pix of the Aquarium of the smokies (Gatlingburg)? there was an underwater tunnel where you can see the white sharks swimming above you...

talking about freaky animals in Zoo of "Taxidermized (Paradise)", In gatlingburg, they have a "Ripley's Believe it or not" museum. Picture shows a two headed goat we saw inside the museum.....

Very nice :D The one outside of the aquarium does bring back some nice memories of my visit a few years ago. I lived in Tennessee up until last year and was about 90 minutes from Gatlinburg, though I only visited twice

I do think I remember seeing that goat in the Ripley's museum, by the way. Lots of weird stuff in there.

Looks like you were in town on a clear day. Makes all the difference in the world if you can see the surrounding mountains. Beautiful area for sure.
