Some may have noticed that I have not posted too much last 3 weeks. Building an awesome Gazebo that consists of 60 14ft hardwood 2x4 and has a seating couch for 5, A 6 sided Hexagon table around a large Talisay tree with also a foods table (12ft long), 2 drink and food tables, nippa roof, a barbecue table with fire walls, hardwood shelving for foods and drinks along all 4 railings, and incased with all bamboo cuttings for walls with designs and floors. All is termite proofed and lacquered , 2 native bamboo chairs and a Barbecue pit outside of it along with a swing that the rope stretches 25 foot high. I took images of the build and will post them with-in the week. I have one of my trusted farm-hands that is working also with me, but basically I am working 8am to 5pm to get this done. I went to a technical High School and studied wood working for 4 years. Forty-two years later I am applying what I have learned. Gazebo measures 18ft x 12.5ft. The humor of it all (as humor is important to me) is that those that have seen it have asked how many Carpenters have I hired. I respond by saying. (None!....... Only one farm hand that's a good listener) Check back for images as they are coming with-in days. On an added note...... My Asawa bought me a set of Golf Clubs for some strange reason for an early B-Day gift (new Hobby I guess) and I promptly went out to the front road and took a driver and am proud note that I drove a pile of diseased Dog Crap about 85 yards down the road....... @awesome. Cheers!

For termites use Taurus SC.. it is a odorless spray that rubs off on the termites. They then take it back to their nest where it rubs off on everyone else, killing even the queen. Wipes out the entire hive. Sprayed around a bamboo house with it ten years ago still no termites. https://www.amazon.com/s?k=tauras+sc&ref=nb_sb_noss_2

My Wife found some RIR for me at Rabitton Pamplona, they were at point of lay but they wanted P4k for each Bird, it is verging on criminal to charge such prices.

Thank you once again for that info, my small Chicken Tractor is 95% finished and waiting on Birds, I would be pleased to get any type of Egg layer now maybe the exception to that would be white Birds I'm not so keen on them. Have attached a few Pics of the little tractor 6x4 feet, I think big enough for 6 Birds? it should not need much cleaning with the perforated plastic matting floor and if moved every day there should be little smell from them, I had it in an enclosed run to keep the native Chicks out.

LOL There is actually such a thing as a chicken tractor. Here is one solar powered and remote controlled.

So why do you need one? What predators are you worried about? Or do you want them to eat the bugs without wandering off?

well the "tractor" idea was new for me. i used to make small floorless cages and just drag them about but this is much more fuctional! good luck with it. i will try to remember to check for chickens frequently. just let me know if you find first!

hey dave, you probably know this but on the national highway downtown DGT just one block south of the main market same side they sell chickens on the street, probably sunday has the best variety. lots of indviduals bring stuff and sometimes its not your typical philippine fowl fare. have seen some heavy birds there. then also go to the fruit section of the main market and in the first block going south on the ocean side they sell chicks and i think i saw some heavy birds there too once. never ever heard of a chicken tractor, something new every day!!
