This week a very old friend of mine was murdered in sipalay he was an Ex Pat pioneer and was one of the first foreigners to live in Negros or at least in that area a very good man. A hard worker and humble man buuilt his own house with his bare hands and any wealth he EARNED by hard work. He came from my area here in UK a few miles up the road A family man and likeable and fair minded but tough and gritty. He is missed by many.

    Sorry to hear this! BUT!

:( Phil TI am sorry for the loss of your friend. To me, he was a pain in the arse BUT no one ever deserves to be Gunned down like this. Please extend my condolences to the family. As always in these cases, it is a shame that we could not patch up our past differences. I am SAD, that he went this way. Sorry my friend :(

Well I do not know you and I do not know the history of yourself and Anthony, I am sure it was only a character clash and no more, Yes you are correct no one deserves that it is obviously something more behind it than meets the eye. He WAS a good man but yes he could be a sticky character and as I said gritty but that made him the guy he was a very very hard worker...no.. a GRAFTER. For someone to be called that in our part of the world that is a very hard man...and he was a grafter. Sorry for your differences.

    No need for Sorries!

Phil! no need for any sorries from you, Tony was one of the hardest working guys in the PI I ever met, Ours was a purely Personal/Professional difference from may years ago. It makes no difference to anyone on this site at all. I am just so sorry it ended the way it did. I had the Greatest respect for the Man. When is the funeral phil?

Jack I do not know when but he will be cremated in Bacolod and his ashes scattered on the farm and beach. Which is vry fitting.

I knew him here as we have a large Brit phil communty here and I knew him when the kids were small his wife was one of the first to live here. they went to live in London for a while but he was back and forth to Negros over the years. I always got on with him well being a Cornishman also (we are a bit cranky) I suppose I knew his mindset well, a very shrewd man and never threw his money at something, a thinker, worked it out first! but very clever even if his methods were off beat, a very nice guy. I think he had many friends there.

Phil, very sorry to here about the murder of your friend.
I never knew him, but he seems like a hard working man, hope they catch the culprits and hang them.

Condolence to you, family and friends.

    ?

I read into it that its more like a planned target than an opportunity robbery. He was in a routine and the bastards executed him rather than running off. The family and police really need to work hard on finding the people who done this horrible act. Check out the dispute, employees and locals who know his routine.

Very sorry to hear the news. I didnt know him but he's from Pinner, just down the road from me, Ruislip... and he sounds like decent guy. My best wishes go out to the family !

Jack here is the timetable of events I got this from his son

Sunday last viewing St Peters Sipalay, Monday to Matlag for 2 hours then Bacolod overnight, Tuesday cremation then back to Sipalay. Tues or Wed ash scattering and burial.

He was not from Pinner or London but He was From Cornwall and was born in the St Just area, and owned a Farm there for many years.
