Can anyone on the forum point me in the right direction to get a 1hp Bolzano water pump rebuilt in Dumaguete? It failed and had to be replaced, but would like to rebuild and keep as a spare. Thanks.
Polaris can probably point you in the right direction, maybe Matio as well but would start at Polaris.
May I ask exactly what needs to be replaced/rebuilt, motor, impeller, shaft, shaft bearings, seals or electrical bits? Never actually heard of that type of pump before, did you buy it here in town? Omega Trading (South Road, opposite side from Avon Cosmetics etc),sometimes also have parts that are difficult to find.
I'd really like to find a biz or someone who can rebuild water stuff. With the water full of minerals, faucets especially seem to break apart after 8 months or so, lucky if it makes it a year, even expensive ones... Anybody know one, not just parts, i'm not good at taking stuff apart that isn't designed to be disassembled...
Think one can buy the rubber gasket repair kits in hardware stores for faucets, but I'd imagine most including the locals just use inner tube strips to tie down the handles, till that doesn't work anymore then they usually replace with new. Ball valves etc are usually of such poor material quality that 2-4 years longevity is quite good, likewise replace with new, after some tw@t over tightens the handle and it breaks off. As for knowing any place that repairs stuff, sorry no. Repairs here is usually a euphemistic term for replacing with new.
Bolzano.....not worth the effort, I've had several, made good service until poor performance...internals are cheap materials...not made to repair. I have a new one in box ready to go, when in service one dies.
