I believe I am an "ant magnet"!! I thought it was mosquitos that were inflicting these terrible bites on me, causing a terribly painful, hot-to-touch knot that takes several days to go away, but have decided it is some type of ant that is attacking me!! Will insect repellent help keep these ants, that seem to attack me while I sleep, away? Has anyone else experienced this? I have been battling ants in the townhouse we live in, (they seem to come from the chicken/rooster farm behind us) I have used sprays and terro with some success. They abate for awhile, but come back and seem to learn to leave the terro alone. Should I call an exterminator? Since they are crawling over the back wall from behind the house, not sure how much good an exterminator will do. I try to keep the floors swept and the dishes dried and put away, I put cereals, etc.. in ziploc bags.....no matter what I do, or how hard I try, I cannot seem to control them!!:mad:

Flame thrower? Actually I'd have some one come out and spray once a week and see if that helps.

As for you, Avon has a lotion mosquito repellent that's top rated. You might try that.

I used them before moving into my house.

Now twice a year Baygon - chalk. I boil it in water and sprinkle it around my house.
At distinct ant-entry points I draw a circle around it, done...

Red ants bite. Black not! Bait them with food. Draw them in, then nuke them with ant spray all the way back to their home. Poor boiling water on the nest! Done!
