war is hell, there is no humane way to fight one. More importantly, win one. History indeed belongs to the victors, and is written by the winning side. If the war was lost by the Americans, we might very well be reading about the atrocities perpetrated against Japanese civilians byway of nuclear and incindiary bombs dropped on many Japanese cities. hundreds and thousands burned alive and disfigured. The incindiaries killed more than the Atomic blasts.

so maybe forget blaming sides 60 years later and enjoy uncovering the historical artifacts.
No one is blameless or innocent.

So it seems no one can confirm or deny this rumour?

Well, I'm up for diving off the end of the runway in 60m. So if the given "facts" are correct who wants to bet if I'll find it?

Judging by the rest of the topography around the area it should be fairly easy to cruise along the 60m depth contour for the distance of the runway and cover the area on either side as well.

If it is in that depth, it shouldn't be covered by coral or destroyed by wave action, so odds are good.

Anyone want to offer up any more info before i waste my time?

Well Lumpy, welcome on this forum. I hope you don't waste yours but also not our time.
Read everything carefully. Some people here spend a lot of time to gather info. I'm glad I can read all this.

30 min bottom time. Should allow me to cover about 500m per dive at least.

    How wide is the runway?

You're of course welcome to join Melvin. :D

OK, the thread started by viper said "rumour has it that there is a Zero 200' down".
Let's ask three questions, who said what, when, and where? How many beers did they have? well that's a joke...
200' is pretty specific, where did the info come from?

    Joke, John ?

Hi RHB, are you joking ? I have to check that but can't believe you're serious again this time :D
In case you're serious .......must be possible to go and look.
I could start preparing my inspection camera for dropping it in the water from a boat.
    Cable goes till 45 meter.
