    let's confirm!!

When I first took the photo I recall for sure certain facts about this monster and have laid some out short points. To bring the fact to more of a for front of better understanding I can be precise so my info. can be searched perhaps. This giant known most to the world as the bananna spider or the golden silk orb spider, some call it a wood spider also.It has very large fangs and is non-poisoness.It rarely ever bites people and when it has happened, tis only a scratch.Even blundering into its web does not activate a bite. The science class would be Nephila and the web from the creatures were collected and rolled up into balls and thrown into the water to unravel and catch small fish not that long ago.....hope this helped

    luckiest spider in the world!!!

The male as I mentioned is so small that he mate's as often as he likes in day or night and is usually never noticed.Maybe thats why he ownly eat's leftovers, and why not,he lives generally on her web.

what's up with that yellow garden variety

It is truly known as the writing spider for it scribble's zzzzzz's all day in it's web for reasons noted already.Lots of confusion surrounds this spider. The have dozen or so types in US. alone make up 12 different looks as males and females differ in size and color. In the hot countries there are more variation's...some island to island uniqueness occurs...female's fatter, rounder and oval where males some-what flatter by design.Males truly fear mating in this type and will only mate when they are attached to an escape line....non-poisoness to humans,

I find some of the smallest creatures are the most interesting. The unexpected spider in the face can be unpleasant though. Here in the southern part of the US brown recluse are common. I have them in the attic and under the floor and sometimes in the closets. Brown recluse aren't notable warriors. They have very small fangs and have trouble piercing a persons skin. I put on a shirt once and realized I wasn't alone in it! As it was moving, I decided to hold still till the spider made it's way out. It almost made it out a sleeve when it decided to bite me. One pinch settled the fight. It was a brown recluse, but the bite didn't pierce the skin. I won't miss them when I move, but they sensibly have better things to do than hunt people. Robert k

these spiders actually are different specis called "orb spider" namely because how it spins its web..and some looks like "weaver spider" due to the zigzag..spining of the web..all of them are non-poisonous...the bite however..it hurts like hell..i mean heck..

The red back spider is found in Australia, the female has the red back and as far as I know the male is not poisonous which is black no red stripe, the poor bugger gets eaten after he mates with the female, the bite is not usually deadly but if you are sick or elderly you could be in trouble. Hey this sounds familiar with the females here ????:o
