I am just cynical enuf that i'm sure the "business customers only" applies here, screw the plain people..
But what makes absolutely NO FN SENSE is that instead of just sending a quick hundred thousand cheap emails or EVEN HAVE CSRs TELL CALLERS, PLDT opens itself to wasting hundreds of thousands of CSR and technician manhours saying they'll look into something that they already know about. One of very few things in this country that drives me nuts <grin>.. OR maybe, god forbid, they haven't gotten around to telling the CSR's. That would be entirely too stupid.

I noticed a serious slowdown (PLDT Fiber Home) but just made another coffee and repeated my mantra "they'll get theirs when Dito introduces home internet".

Just did a Speedtest to Manila: 0.2 Mbps download, 0.0 Mbps upload.
I know they're crap but this is taking the p*ss.

And now it says the optimal (closest and fastest) server (using my PLDT Fiber) is Sky Fiber in Bacolod. So even Speedtest knows PLDT is the worst!
But the ping is still almost 1 second and the download speed is 0.5 Mbps.

On philproducts, speed test to Manila shows 9 mbps up and down with a 300 ms ping.
Normal up/down is around 25 mbps.

I suspect PLDT must be doing some maintenance in the local area. Filproducts uses PLDT backbone but has their own "last-mile" fiber.
