One strange oddity I noticed on the Philippines that cell phone batteries are drained much faster in the Philippines than in Europe. Does other members noticing this also?
No problems with the battery. What drains definitely faster are the touted Gigabytes from SMART and GLOBE. In other words they are cheating. In Switzerland I usually use about 5 GB a month. In the Philippines with the same "behaviour" almost double. Almost impossible to prove it. I guess both companies know this and thats why they get away with it. I've noticed the same with my cell phone but I thought perhaps it was due to its age. I changed the battery and it's a slight improvement.
Poor signal strength and heat. If your phone is set to pick up an LTE signal but there is none around it will constantly search for that signal, which uses a lot of battery. Go into you settings and change it to 3G only when you don't need the mobile data. Some phones have a data type toggle widget you can put on your home screen. If yours doesn't there is an app for that. For the heat, make sure you don't have poorly programmed/malicious apps (picture filter apps are notorious for this) running in the background and using data. If you have one of those picture filter apps just delete it, you really aren't fooling anyone, we know your skin isn't that smooth/white/wrinkle-free.
