I'm into high end Headphones and was wondering if anyone here is into that kind of stuff. Maybe you could bring your equipment and we could have a meet ala headfi.org style. It should be fun to form the first ever Dumaguete Headfi meet!

Seems like you have waisted a lot of money during the years.:D
Cause Quality to me means long lasting, or a product I will find use for in a long time.

I wish that was all mine. Anyway, I guess no one is into sublime audio quality around here hehehe.

Long lasting is good but it is useless to have something that lasts long that is unlistenable because it sounds like utter crap

I listen mostly to FLAC, wav, or original cds and only listen to mp3 when nothing else is available but only when using a great encoder with high bitrates ex. lame 3.97 vbr. I wanted to setup a good vinyl system before but it isn't feasible here in dumaguete since we have no record stores with lots of used vinyl :D

Actually, I dont think Ive ever seen a vinyl record ever for sale in places like lee plaza

I am not a friend of digital recordings from analog sounds in general, it just takes away the soul of the instrument and if after that the peaks are cut off (in most of the available audio-formats) than it turns out like flat warm beer...

I know some guys in Luzon having a nice Vinyl colloction,
if you use headphones, check out this link and listen to the virtual haircut, it gets interesting at about 2:30.
There are also some other nice short clips there...
    cheers
