A Silicon Valley-based recycling company is looking for a "mysterious lady" who dropped off a rare vintage Apple computer, so it can give her $100,000.

About a month ago, a woman of between 60-70 years of age dropped off a couple of boxes of waste containing electronic junk to CleanBayArea's recycling center in Milpitas, CA.

    Or so she thought.

Woman gives rare Apple-1 computer worth $200K to recycling

A bit more about the computer:

I think even the connections in the Philippines would far exceed the networking capabilities of the computer in question here. This was the first Apple model ever produced.

This morning on the news here in the States, this ancient computer was one of only 200 first run editions ever made - for which they believe there may only be 50 left in existence.

This recycling business is still trying to locate this woman, and the recycle fellow who took her "recycle trash" said he would immediately recognize her if she shows up. They just don't know her name, so this is getting quite the media attention.

The other thing the news reporter said was that a similar computer just like the one this "mystery lady" turned in for recycle, was recently sold at auction for 2 million USD! That computer is currently housed behind museum glass somewhere in the States.

    Who would have thought????
