Go to a glass shop and have glass sections (shatter proof) cut to size.
Take the glass to an aluminum door/window shop and have them make aluminum sections and let them assemble it using silicon.
    Works great and very inexpensive!

"Shatterproof" as in tempered glass? Tempered glass cannot be cut after it is tempered. If one attempts to do so it will shatter into thousands of pieces. The part about getting glass cut, and then siliconed together is correct though. No need for "aluminum sections" if the thickness of the glass is correct and it is properly assembled with silicone.

The reason I recommend aluminum sections is because the glass cutters here aren't as exacting as they are in the states.
I may have been wrong about shatterproof glass though, but really didn't mean tempered glass.

Just out of curiosity, which species of fish do you plan to keep?
    Cheers, Marco.

I've got an aquarium at home and I keep Mbuna, an african specie from Lake Malawi. Very colourful but territorial fish specie which need a large tank....managed to breed them successfully.
    Cheers, Marco.
