I'm looking to find a generalist practitioner in law for simple stuff. My fist visit will be to acquire an affidavit of loss for my lost ACR card. Most important to me is someone who can be reached easily, keeps regular office hours, direct and to the point, no skin-tax on fees. I wouldn't mind an immigration attorney but I specify a generalist only because I imagine fees for an immigration specialist would be considerably higher than for the generalist. Any experiences?

It seems like the attorneys above the BI office will do anything very cheaply. There are ladies there and for notarization they send out to the guy and he does it. They are sort of "law factories". It is interesting the attorney never meets the person he notarizes things for, but he supposedly record the notarization somewhere. I have been told the City will do it also, but have never used them. The fees were 200 or 300 P. The city offices are supposedly free.
