Does anyone have any experience with the hospitals in Bacolod, such as Riverside Medical Center. Being that Bacolod is a bigger city than Duma are the hospitals better?

Riverside is the most expensive, however that doe's not nessaceryly make it the best.
I have been going to Bacolod Doctors hospital for some time now, In fact I had my leg amputated there.
Like most hospitals they all charge a fortune & for absoulutly every thing, & you have to scream & shout at times to get what you want, I dont think they are used to people who have some knowledge about theire ailment & are prepared to shout about it! & not just lie there & take what is given /Or not.
post amputation opp all I was offered was A Tylonal as pain releif !! , It wasnt untill I screamed the place down that I was given possilby the smallest amount of morphine ever.
Now they know what I am like they fallover backwards to accomdate me.

I went to riverside in 2010 for amoeba, it took them a few hours to find what I had, it cost me over P20,000 for 2 day stay, they wanted to keep me longer but I refused, even had to argue with the bill because the Dr forgot to book me out so they wanted another half day, but as foreigners do I bogged down and refused to pay the other half day because it was there mistake. If you ever get diarrhea
For more than 4 days get tested amoeba is a parasite which is in the water here, seeing that I never drank the water or even had ice in my drinks then the other way is some dirty cook had amoeba and never washed his hands after pooping, it takes 2 weeks before the symptoms appear, so good luck trying to find out where you got your infection.

I had a similar issue several years ago. On Christmas eve we went to Chong Hoa in Cebu. They checked me, took a stool specimen to identify the culprit, saw three doctors, got the medicine, paid the bill and was on my way in less than two hours for under $25 US.
Problem solved and had a merry Christmas.

I went to Doctors hospital in Cebu for dog bites infection. got good treatment overnight stay and meds. dont remember the bill but the girl I was with kept track of everything and argued the bill.

If at all possible Id go back to Thailand if I needed serious medical treatment.
