    The Philippines is a place that has lots of natural resources that a person can enjoy. Aside from the various natural resources such as beaches and hot springs, the Philippines is more than that. The Philippines truly has a very rich history that is often overlooked because of the wonderful beaches. If you are a person who would love to learn more about the Philippines rich history, going to Bataan is the right place. This province has its share of natural resources but is more famously known for its rich history. If you have seen the movie the Great Raid, this is where it took place.

    Here are some of Bataan’s Historical landmarks and natural resources as well.
    1. First Line of Defense Marker
    2. Shrine of Valor – the shrine immortalizes the agony suffered by the American and Filipino troops against the Japanese during World War 2.
    3. Zero Kilometer Death March Marker – the place where the death march started.
    4. General King Marker – the site where Bataan was first surrendered to the Japanese to save the lives of the sick and starved men.
    5. Marker of the Surrendered Site – the place where Bataan officially surrendered to the Japanese.
    6. Pilar flaming sword
    7. Sto. Domingo Church in Abucay – a church constructed in 1587. This church is a witness of more than 200 people who have been murdered by the Dutch Invaders.
    8. Tomas Pinpin Monument – a shrine for the first Filipino printer.
    9. Maria Canon Statue – it is a statue that invokes the repose of the dead sols from World War 2
    10. Philippine Japanese Friendship Tower – symbolizes the reconciliation, friendship and peace of the once warring nations.

    Here are the following natural resources that could be fun to visit in Bataan after your historic trip.

    1. Dunsulan Falls – it is found in the heart of the forested hill behind Mt. Samat. This place is definitely breathtaking and is excellent for picnics and swimming.
    2. Pasukulan Falls – found in the valley of Mt. Natib which is still unspoiled and unexplored.
    3. Dinalupihan Natural Parks – the place is great for day hikes, trekking and picnics.
    4. Mt. Natib – it is a dormant volcano that rises up to 1253 meters. Climbing up can help get you a view of the surrounding towns. Climbing up, you can see the exotic plants and wildlife.
    5. Sibul spring - it has relaxing pools that have sulfur and wide area for recreation as well. The natural spring is also believed provide muscle pain relief.


    These are only a few of the things that a person can enjoy when visiting the historical place of Bataan. Aside from getting knowledge of the Philippines you can also relax and have fun after.
