My license expires in about 10 days. Looked around for any current info on what to do. Signed up for the LTMS Portal and with some patience managed to take the CDE test which I passed. Tried going through the entire online renwal procedure and found (typically for Philippine government and corporate website) the procedure arcane and frustrating. It asked for my ACR(?) which I don't have since I am on an SRRV. Oddly, it let me register after leaving that blank. I tried for about an hour and decided that doing the actual renewal online makes zero sense for a few reasons. First, you need to get the medical clearance in order to fill in that certificate number. All the medical offices that give the clearance seem to be surrounding the actual LTO So why get the physical and enter the info online if you are already nextdoor to the LTO? Second, you still have to go to the LTO for picture taking and picking up your license, so why bother with online. I actually phoned the LTO today to ask about the procedure and they answered the phone! I inquired and the LTO rep said bring in all your documents on Monday, Wednesday, or Friday. I asked her to specify and she said to bring.my driver license, medical certificate and CDE certificate (that I should have taken online.) She said they open the doors at 7:30 but business does not start until 8. Last time I was there they had a dress code but I forgot to ask about that. So I will not wear sandals/slippers and will wear long pants (which is what they wanted 3 years ago.) I thought about traveling to Bais LTO to avooid the lines and mobs, but it's a bit over an hour drive each way. I will save that two hour drive time and the fuel by going to the Dumaguete LTO and enduring stoically. They do have a "senior line", so that occasionally helps. I qualify for a 10 year renewal so I relish not going back there for another decade.

It's free on-line, you have to pay for the test at LTO at least it was 2 years ago!

My wife and I renewed at Dumaguete LTO a few weeks ago. We did the CDE online and printed out the certificates.

Went to a medical place near LTO and we were in and out in 20 minutes with our medical certificates, as the glass misted up when I breathed, and they managed to wake up the elderly lady to sign the certificates.

At LTO when we arrived next day at 0745, the line was very long. They filed everyone in and after 15 minutes waiting, approached me to ask if I was senior (even though I only look 36!!). I said 'Yes' and they ushered me to the guard at the door. My wife came with me and we managed to convince him to let her inside at the same time, as I needed her to accompany me, in case I needed my incontinence pad changing. We had our PLASTIC licences about an hour later. I had been fretting about this for many months, needlessly, as it turned out.
