I have been using BDO online banking for years without much problem until around July last year, that's when they decided to change the login process, before that when you entered your user name and password you then got the option of a sms / text to your phone with a PIN number that must be used within 5 min or you could waive that and answer a challenge question about your favourite pets name, mothers maiden name or such like but last year someone decided no more challenge question so you must get the PIN text. Big problem, where i live the cell phone signal is so bad that most times i would never get the text or if it did come it was after the 5 min cutoff. As i am not really that busy i started just going to the bank to do any transactions but the curse of the Covid has made that not so easy anymore, so after trying unsuccessfully the other day to transfer some money i noticed on their website that you can download a mobile app that has a PIN generator so no more need for texts, that's the one for me i said and immediately downloaded it. BUT when i went to use it i found out that the first time you use it has to be verified by a PIN, yes you guessed it the pin is sent by text AARRGHHH
