I am intersted in what people have to say about the satellite TV options available? I am not intersted in daytime TV, or news, I am intersted in movies and documentaries. Cost vs availability of programs and depndability issues, etc.

I search the forum but could not finds much on the subject.

    Thanks in advance

I have Gsat at around 2.000 set up ( Box and Dish) and 300 or 500 peso per month it is really only affected by Stormy weather. Available From POS on Perdices Street up from Lee Plaza on the Right just before the corner of the Road (Locsin Street) where the BI is.

I use Cignal satellite and my wife uses Dream satellite in the bedroom. Cignal is 1290p a month for over 100 channels including HD. Dream is a prepaid program and costs very by which options you select. I can't remember the dish and install cost, been over 6 years. Both are very dependable except in very heavy rain we lose the satellite signal.

I have this installed as well. Don't regularly top up the load as the TV is rarely on unless the Xbox is in use. I have never paid the P500 for the HD channels so can't comment on that. The P300 channels is good enough for me and that includes all the pinoy channels. (There is a P50 plan if you just want the local channels....good for those that don't watch TV and want to keep the old lady occupied for awhile with the drama2x shows.)
