Does the person need to be good in all of the games you mention above? Where do you plan on playing games? Will this be a nighttime activity that goes well with alcohol or are you looking at something a bit more serious and starting/joining leagues? It appears you aren't in the Philippines at the moment....are you just out on a visa run/vacation?
How many balls do you need on a tiny table? Play snooker mate, see how you go on with a full size table.
There is a billard "place" around the corner on the side street heading up to Perdicies from BO's on the boulevard. It is right after where Catalina comes into the street, on the left hand side when heading to Perdicies. It is a "Filipino" place always full with many people there. Supposedly the rumors are it is has the best players in town. I have never been inside but watched from the street, as their are no window glass and opening in the street side wall. . The name is something like "Js" or "Mr jays" etc. Walk the street and asked one of the people on the street, they can point it out if you can not find it. It is a very popular place, with many people hanging around outside. I would suggest a daylight visit until you establish some friendships there and feel safe. They definitely play 9 ball, with the table being cleared often. I do not know what other games they play. Good luck Muffy
8 ball billiard comps at Happy Jacks every Wednesday evening and also a once a month comp for a trophy
My best run on snooker was 47 Points, I guess it´s enough? But I love the 9 foot table and all 8 Ball, 9 Ball 10 Ball and since a while I play also straight Pool with a low average from 4. But very sure the most player if they don´t play in a league are not able to get an average from 2
Too good for me, 47 point's. Played pool but so many variations on rules! American, British rules and so on. Which rule applies in PH?
Everywhere the people play a little bit serious they play international rules for 8-Ball and 9-Ball, especially in philippines cause they have a lot of good players
Ah now it's coming back to me, long time I'v played pool. Use to play every night in why- not bar. Use to win easily there, got bored of playing and I let others have a game.
