Thanks for the tips...but I think you're confusing hotels with resorts. There is a difference..The 'hotels' are in Tagbilaran..and apart from the Metro Centre are nothing special at all except maybe Bohol Tropics...which is a quasi-resort/hotel down near the port area. Very nice too, great rooms and food, but a hike into downtown...not so bad coming back though - cause it's downhill. But after Metro Centre and Bohol Tropics the 'hotels' go 'downhill' rapidly in comfort, amenities, food, and customer service. We've tried several of them. We tend to stay in the Wregent, get some good prices, location is nice (across from Metro Centre) and the rooms are ok - when we 'negotiate' with them. And eat at the Metro Centre. Something about the dead cockroaches on the Wregent coffee shop floor put us off. Not because they had cockroaches, you get that in places.....just that they died after eating the food. But I stayed in others in town, La Roca, Gie Garden, etc...can't say I recommend them. Don't mind them when I'm on my own and just doing an overnight on my way somewhere else...but they wouldn't be the 'vacation of a lifetime material'. Not even close.

The resorts, generally Panglao, are all over the spectrum. Some are outstanding...Bohol Beach Club has all the amenities (including a tennis court - if anyone else on Panglao has one can you let me know?) and activities one could want...but some of the others have little beyond a warped pool table and a hike to the beach...Suggest if you are going to write reports on the resort/hotels on Bohol you actually go there and give us the real scoop on the ones you stay at. Bohol is a beautiful island, one of the must-do tourist spots in the country, and very memorable. Definitely every Filipino and tourist should see it when they get the chance

Anyway, good try and keep up the great work..
