Here is a few photos of the Giant Clam marina sanctuary we visited at Camgiugin Island.

This is also a treat and a fantastic way to enjoy snorkelling!

Camiguin island has only recommenced direct flights from Cebu after many other carriers had failed.

When we arrived, we were the second maiden voyage of Cebu Pacific to arrive as the service was only new.
We were greeted with dancers upon arrival and enjoyed Pastille bread which is a amazing soft bread with a vanilla flavored burst of goodness inside, much like a chocolate eclair.
We were also offered local hot chocolate, bud bud and other foods which was fantastic!

We stayed at the Eco Lodge further up from the airport which was only built mid last year so everything was NEW!.

It was fantastic as it had the only resort on the island with a in house reef right on its doorstep!

Hired a motor/bike for 300 pesos and did the full circle of 65km around the whole island in a day including rest stops and sight seeing.

There are many highlights to this island such as three waterfalls to choose from (Unfortunately they were constructing the roads so we couldnt be bothered walking a long hike....)
they have the Sunken cemetary, Ardent hot springs, cold springs, A volcano Mt Hibok Hibok etc. So much to offer from a small island! Oh, dont forget Mantigue Island and White Island! Costs 400Pesos to hire a pumpboat return and they are amazing!

The best thing about this island that I was blown away about is there is virtually no litter anywhere! They use trash cans provided and they all follow the road laws and use indicators which is amazing!
All the roads have signage indicating if the roads are turning left or right on curves and they all have neatly painted lines and reflectors for night driving!

I think we were the only ones speeding! Above the 40kph  the bike couldnt go much faster than that....

    Anyway, enjoy
