I did a search but found nothing on this one.

Does anyone know what the total amount of cash in Pesos, one person can LEGALLY, physically take with them, out of the Philippines ?

I think it is only 10,000.00 PHP , Which is barely enough to get through the airport at times if they start messin with you with taxes and stuff

As far as I know 10.000,= peso (less one), but so far I was never asked during my numerous exits for, let's even had a check by showing/opening wallet, luggage.
    However better safe than sorry.

It's PHP 10000 but I've never been asked or checked, and I'm in/out every 2 months.

I had heard that there have been some currency carrying changes that came in recently RUMOR ONLY The US has supposed lowered it's carry on rate from $10,000 USD to $3,000 USD. Other countries are making adjustment also... ALL RUMOR VIA MCDONALDS... ANY ONE HEARD ANYTHING OF THIS? A fellow this morning at McDonald mentions his fund from Australia had been held up with the new standards. After living abroad for 8 years, it was determine that he not have the status of possible terrorists for his money transfers. It was pissed, as he was almost immobilized so he picked up his knapsack of bombs and left. (only kidding about the bombs.)

Probably more than rumours, I know some Currency Exchange companies in Oz, have been closed down for suspected funds transfers to suspected terrorist organisations, and others were suspended for a couple of months whilst investigations ensued, and were then reinstated when found to be clean. The ones that were reinstated had the maximum amount of capital permitted to be transferred out of Oz per day, to some Countries, reduced substantially.

    10,000p without declaring it.
If you declare it to Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas in advance there is no limit given, but I don't know how much they will actually allow.
Good to know is that it's not easy to legally turn Pesos to foreign currency either. In case someone decide to move abroad and sell of house, cars etc.

In something of an answer to Dave/Imp, in October I carried in $5k USD. I'm sure they would have happily pounced on me in the US if it were not allowed.
