Will the US Consul in Cebu certify or notarize a Philippine Birth Certificate issued by the Philippines Statistics Authority? It’s something to do with the Philippines not being a member of the Hague and an Apostille might be required. The Consul certifies the birth certificate seal? Regarding the certificate of birth abroad requiring original divorce documents. Ive been divorced twice in the USA, Illinois and Nebraska a long time ago. Can these documents be located. Are they really necessary? Including marriage and divorce dates. I completed an affidavit of parentage, physical presence and support and its notarized the USA consul. I am attempting to add my daughter in DEERS. They asked for the paternity affidavit, I sent it...now they tell me I need the birth certificate.
I registered my daughter in DEERS using her philippine birth certificate from the PSA without having it notarized. As far as marriages/divorces in the U.S. I wouldn't bother they do not keep track of them like they do in the Philippines.
Was your daughter a US citizen when you registered her in DEERS? The Certificate of Birth Abroad form is asking for dates of marriages and divorce, plus a copy of the records. I have no clue the dates. Searching online is useless.. I am going to put years of marriage and their names for all of them. I am not married to the mother. Im still married in the USA.
