NO; I am NOT SELLING Clothes for Fatties like myself, rather asking, knowing quiet a few of you are somewhat rotund (not pointing fingers so do not take offence, and not talking about you Alley Cat types - just us thoroughbreds here) So; WHERE you buy your Clothes from?

I have been here for 4 years now and many of my clothes are becoming tatty so to speak (I have lost 29KG's in this time so many are now too large on me but I am still FAT) and looking online I am unable to find anything to suit me (exclude eBay I cannot use it) so are there any Shops in Dumaguete that cater for *ahem* the more somewhat hefty Healthy sizes?

My Wife has been buying from Ukay-Ukay and I am noticing some of the shorts and T Shirts are, well, somewhat feminine in their designs... :o o: (I tell her the Bakla printed Pants and Shirts are ONLY for around the house, NOT to be worn to the City! EVER!)

Note: I reckon an Expat would make an absolute killing in Dumaguete if they opened a Store catering for the somewhat rounder Expat and Local alike... If only I were cashed up... :pompus:

That is where I get my clothes from now, was just hoping to be able to buy some new T Shirts and Undies etc. Even a Belt would be nice now my Pants keep falling down due to losing weight. Looks like I will need to stick with the Ukay-Ukay and nylon Rope Belt like the locals until I work out something else.

Go to the public market and seek out the guy who custom makes leather belts. He goes back and forth between here and Cebu so you may have to make a couple of trips.

I usually found their clothing prices were fair, depending on what I was looking for. Shoes were expensive from what I can remember. They may have gone up a lot in the 3 years I have been gone.

I bought a pair of those *cough cough* Genuine Nike's from Hypermart for 6,000 pesos (size 14) and wore them I think 4 times before the soles fell off of them one day while we were out in the boondocks visiting relatives. My wife threw the soles away along the Goat track so as not to be embarrassed by the relatives, so no hope of having them repaired, so now they sit in the box gathering dust, only good to wear around the house here or if walking outside. The other pair I bought around 3 years ago did a similar thing with the soles partially separating, and are patched using a Hot Glue Gun but are still okay enough to wear out. If I ever get my Credit Card sorted I hope to buy a pair of US Johnny Reb Boots and have them shipped here. I had a pair in Oz for more than 20 years before they split the leather over the top of my foot. Best Boots I have ever owned! I am happy to pay a fair price for good clothes if I can find some in my size.

Shoes (especially glued parts) have a hard time in this hot and humid climate (even some shoes I brought with me here have not lasted well).

My wife (more of an expert than I am on shoes  ) thinks Robinson's is a good source.
