Pete’s closed down for cleaning. A member (male nurse) tested positive. An inspector came in to my gym this morning.
There is one newly opened gym in Valencia. It is small and they don't have a squat rack so I go to Dumaguete. The are many gyms in Dumaguete, though there is probably only a handful that have decent selection of equipment and maybe 1 or 2 that are using their air-cons (the gym I go to does not use theirs but they are on the 3rd floor and has a decent breeze going through most of the time). Dauin probably has the nicest and most modern gym...but you pay a premium for that.
I think boxing/MMA are the most common types of gym here, given boxing being a national sport. They are everywhere and cheaper than a body building/lifting equipment centered gyms. I can't say the price for every one of these gyms but these types should range from P250-750 per month. Body building gyms tend to be in the P750-1500 per month range. The one in Dauin is P2500 but I believe they have discounts for seniors (as do most other gyms).
