my plan is to relocate to Dumaguete because my girlfriend Deding is from the near.
but i got a little problem about health now.
my kidneys doesnt work anymore and are suffering and so i came on the spenderlist for new kidney.
but that can need 3 til 9 years or more til i get a new kidney.
til then i hav eto go 3 times weekly for 3,5 hours to Dialysis.
    now my Question :
give it a expat here he or she have maybe same problem and can give me any information about Dialysis in Dumaguete?
I would be glad to know many people around here.
thank you for read my first post here.

Greetings Sunseeker, after reading your post, I think the best course of action for you would be to find a place close to Cebu City until you have that new kidney installed and road tested.
IMHO, Medical care in Cebu is much, much better than medical care in Dumaguete.
    Good luck!

Is your medical care paid for by a third party?Meaning, private insurance or government.

Here in the Philippines there is no such coverage. Just thought you should be aware of that.

From my experience, I would not go to a Dumaguete hospital for anything serious unless I had no other choice.

The quality of medical care and competency of the doctors in Cebu is much, much better than in Dumaguete.

And I think lots of expats here will agree with me.

    Dialysis in PI!

 Sunseeker, Hi Jack P here, Welcome to DI, I know little about this sort of thing apart from all you read about the Hospitals here in DGTE should be considered reliable, Every time a family member has needed major stuff done, Off we got Cebu, I had a look at some sites for you and I can only suggest you use google and have a look, I typed in-dialysis in the Philippines- and up came some information, I have to admit thought, Cebu only had 1 mention and it looked to be a Private Concern and I got the impression Well expensive, anyway give it a try, Unless anyone on the forum has direct experience with Dialysis, I feel any information may be speculative and that will not be good if you make the Move to Negros and find No facilities. Sorry to hear about your problem and I hope all goes well for you.

    Hello Sunseeker
Dumaguete has a dialysis center at Provincial Hospital in the new Buildingpart.
Its more or less new equipment with 5 "Maschins".
    Good luck!
