- Cebu Officials of the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP), the Philippine National Police (PNP) and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) yesterday at the same time at 5:00 am, the prison cells of the Cebu City Jail, Mandaue City Jail and of Lapu-Lapu City Jail searches. In all three prisons plastic bags with Shabu, knives and cell phones were found in the cells. Also household items such as televisions, DVD players, speakers and refrigerators were seized. The Cebu Provincial Detention and Rehabilitation Center (CPDRC) warden Superintendent Johnson Calub says in the Cebu City Jail are about 80 percent of the prisoners detained in connection with drugs.
