if my flight departing Dumaguete is 4pm, what time do i need to be at the airport?

for big airports, it is a must to arrive at least 3hrs before your departure time. but since i assume that Dumaguete airport is only a small one, is it alright to arrive around 1.5hrs before departure?

Only domestic flights depart from Dumaguete airport so the 3 hour "hurry-up-and-wait" is not necessary. Took a pal there this morning for an 0845 flight and got there at 0750. 55 minutes was more than enough and we still had time to get a drink.

Read the fine print on your ticket, they can and will sell your seat to a standby passenger if you're not there ahead of time as stated in that tiny writing.

My friend was 40 minutes early and they had already sold his seats to someone else. The plane was sitting right outside the window, and they had the nerve to tell him he's already missed his flight. I think it was Cebu Pacific.

Cebu Pathetic is check in latest 45 minutes before departure or you "miss" the flight even the flight is 3 hours delayed.

I usually go there 2-7 hours before and check in as one of the first (for afternoon flights), after that I leave again and come back 15 minutes before departure. Yes, you can get your boarding pass for the afternoon some-when in the morning.

Or check in and sit on the other side, have a few coffee, wait until the aircraft comes in. When the first arrivals leaving the building it is time to walk to there for boarding.

I just hate to fall in line with 100 locals and 795 monster paper-boxes with endless discussions why they need to pay extra luggage and why the 3 alive chicken can't go into the passenger cabin...

excited to see Dumaguete for the first time next week. hope there won't be any rain. speaking of, where do you refer to see the accurate weather forecast for dumaguete? i've also heard that flights sometimes get cancelled or diverted to Cebu instead. hope that won't happen next week. i'll keep my fingers crossed!

I like Cebu Pacific ... the rates are decent and the people are nice... you will go through Manila whatever you take anyways.
