Heads up. Acting on the recommendations of US Homeland Security and the TSA, Manila Airport has introduced additional security measures, with immediate effect, for all international flights regardless of destination. Any electronic device that doesn't power up is likely to be confiscated and you may also be prevented from boarding. This is going to make a very slow airport even slower, but it is what it is. In short, make sure that any phones, laptops etc. that you are taking are fully charged, and turn up an hour before you normally would to allow for the longer checks and inevitable delays.
