Have been to Dumaguete a few times but not yet been to Devlins.
Really fancy trying the fish, chips and mushy peas when I'm next in town.
My question is, I usually stay on the Boulevard. Will trike drivers know where Devlins is? How much should the fare be? (My experience with trike drivers in Dumaguete is that they are very honest compared to some other places...I may be wrong).
Also, is it easy to get home? Are there trikes waiting for customers etc?
Sorry for the questions, I'm a relative newbie...

If you stay on the Boulevard you can walk to Devlins. It is near the Dock.

Devlins is on the Southhighway, whatever JWL is talking about, he has no real idea... it will cost you max. 30 Pesoa at daytime when you ride alone. When you take a public easy ride (to Dauin)it is 5 peso. The driver will stop if you tell him where you wanna go (300 meters after the shell station on the south highway)

    cheers

    Rhoody, thanks for the info.
What about return journey? Are there plenty of trikes or jeepneys? How about at night time?

Depending on the time of the night. There are no Jeepneys or easy rides at night. You may have to wait a bit, but it should be no problem to get a ride home. Plenty of trikes going towards Bacong and Dauin with guests and driving back without passengers. I needed one at 2:00 in the morning and walked slowly on the Highway direction Duma, after 10-15 minutes a trike came and I paid home to Batinguel 50 Peso.

    cheers
