A colleague of mine is looking for projects that can be funded thru a grant. In order for any project to be considered, the project must have a socio-economic, humanitarian or environmental impact to the place where it will be applied to. The grant is funded by a foreign group, and my consultant colleague recommends approval for the projects here in the Philippines. Grants per approved project ranges from a minimum of US $3M to a max of US$10M. Once approved, the funding will be coursed thru a foundation, not thru an NGO. They have just approved the first batch, mostly projects here in Cebu, and are now accepting projects for the second batch. The first thing to do is to come up with a project brief so that it can be evaluated. If you know of any deserving project that could benefit our people in Dumaguete/Negros Oriental, let me know please, so I can make the necessary recommendation for inclusion on the 2nd batch.
