Check out Le Piccola (near Itialia Internet) for fantastic pizza. They are still in soft opening mode now with a limited menu but it has a great atmosphere and staff seem to making improvements each day.

Caution when ordering a bottle of wine as the wait staff don't seem to know how to serve this yet (had to find the price list, didn't know anything about the wines, left the bottle on the counter until we asked for it, then brought the bottle to us unopened, then could not find the opener, had a hard time opening, and finally just plopped the bottle on the table without pouring it for us.)

We've been twice now and plan to go once a week!

    La Piccolo Dumaguete

La Piccolo is actually the former Italia and underneath the Internet-Cafe.

I wrote last week a review on one of my sites after my first visit :

Italian Restaurant La Piccolo in Dumaguete | Dive-Monster Rhoody

As I am not a wine-drinker I can't talk about that but in general the service needs training.
However, that will come with the time and as long the ladies smile to me like on the picture below, I am absolutely happy if they bring me each peppercorn, fork, knife and drink separate and not in one go :D

here some pictures from my 2 visits.

    Soft Opening!

All they had was Pizza, very, very thin Pizza at that! When it came time to pay for the very, very thin Pizza, the computer printer did not work. After about 14 - 16 minutes waiting, we finally got a hand written dinner receipt! Not the best of service.

SLK, that's what I call a good review of your experiences.
The positive AND the negative experiences.
If it is the same as the previous ITALIA I should not have believed it if there were no positive points to mention because I did like it there.
The Pizza (indeed THIN as an Italian pizza should be !) and the wine were excellent.
The wine was then offered (I mean: served :D) by the owner Fabricio and did taste like the price "high ranking"
It has been long ago so I need to go back soon to see the new 'environment' and obviously the new waitresses :D ( my wife will be with me).

Every pizza I have had in Italy was very thin and if you order a seafood one careful, the clams and mussels come still in their shell's. The pizza looks good, we'll have to give them a try.

aaaahhh, Italian Pizza comes from New York and Chicago ... now all is clear.

Now I understand it was imported to Italy when the Americans discovered Europe, please forgive me, how could I forget that important historical event ... Thanks for clarification
