My youngest Son was a Marine Corps Reservist and I could not be Prouder of Him, albeit I never slept a wink during His two tours of deployment to Iraq. Each time I hear "Hero" by the Foo Fighters I am reminded of all that have served. Foo Fighters - My Hero - YouTube

Two of my favorite quotes about the Corps:

Marines I see as two breeds, Rottweilers or Dobermans, because Marines come in two varieties, big and mean, or skinny and mean. They're aggressive on the attack and tenacious on defense. They've got really short hair and they always go for the throat.
RAdm. "Jay" R. Stark, USN; 10 November 1995

Some people spend an entire lifetime wondering if they made a difference in the world. But, the Marines don't have that problem.
Ronald Reagan, President of the United States; 1985

Not the one I know, seems more like a 'pussycat', but still a 'good man', Happy Birthday all Marines, even if you are second to 'Airborne'.

All infantry units can be considered elite and all have sacrificed far too many and all are our heroes. God bless the global warriors and may all wars end.
