One of the new hotels are only charging 8 us dollars per night which results a very poor return on investment. I would like to know how many rooms are now available. Does the city keep a record of this?
The Department of Tourism at City hall will be able to help you, Dumaguete had a low Bed count for many years but this last 5 have seen a Big Increase, With the Threatened Tourist Boom we hear about, maybe there will not be enough Hotels have always worked on either Over occupancy or Bums in beds, so I doubt owners will worry too much, Swings and Roundabouts springs to mind! Where is the one for 360 pisos per night? I usually pay 850 pisos per night, which includes A/C, phone, cable TV, H/C shower, and Wifi.
Like with everything else, if it works for someone else, everyone will follow. How many gas stations do we have here?
Apparently not enough. In the US there will be sometimes one on every corner of an intersection, or on every on and off ramp of the freeway.
From 3/4 years ago, it certainly seems to be happening here, I see there is another new one being constructed on the Junob Spillway Road, Opposite the one on the Corner of the Valencia Road & Larena Drive that is under Repair. Some friends of ours have just Opened one in Valencia but it is Off the Beaten Track a Little.
