I was tested and ordered two hearing aids, will pick up tomorrow. Going through the settings and adjustments it surprised me to see there will be an adjustment period.
Can anyone share their experience with this?

No direct experience Pat, but I do recall when my mom needed hearing aids that the settings/adjustments were done by a professional at the shop, for which her presence was obviously required.
In the end she couldn't get used to them and gave up on wearing them.

Some feedback on my hearing aids, in case anyone is interested or curious. I went to Santillan Hearing Center, around the corner from St. Paul's.
Hearing test cost p150. The results show what level your hearing is and indicates the settings for the hearing aid. My level was moderate, about the middle of the chart.
I required an aid for each ear. I believe they are made in the UK. They use bluetooth so settings can be adjusted by your cell phone.
The cost is p21,400 each. I needed one for each ear - p42,800.
They work extremely well, everything is amplified. Example: my normal tv volume was 50, now 10.
Some noises can be annoying. My wife talks loud so I have to ask her to not talk so loud.
Recommendation. I am glad I purchased them.
