    I'm new to this forum... I expect to retire from the space center in Florida in seven months and retire somewhere in the Philippines. I'm thinking somewhere around Cebu but not in Cebu City. As an insulin dependent diabetic, I need to be somewhere near decent medical facilities. Will the Dumaguete area meet that criteria?

    Hello and Welcome, I have not been to Dumaguete yet, but from what i've learned in this forum it seems like a great place.. I am going to Davao in December and hope to visit Duma, as well...

    yes, if diabetes is a problem for you, im sure the medical facilities of dumaguete can take care of you...if not, cebu is just so near...you wouldnt trade dumaguete for cebu...
