Just went roughly through some thousand pictures I took during the last few weeks and want to share that awesome piece of high-tech with you.

I tried it and it was working. Guess what it is ?

....ermmm just for the Dude... it's not a bedroom toy :p

Nice mystery, Rhoody. I have no idea whatsoever.

To further confuse the issue and mislead others permit me to add - the box is from a Hilti Dx36m Powder Actuated Nail Gun.

    Is that sufficiently confusing?

Looks like Globes DSL router and UPS backup battery with VOIP synced to HF broadband transmitter.

haha, sounds both good... and appropriate... globe nails the bits through the wire with their very own DSL (Damned Slow Line) router including the UPS (Unbeaten Prehistorical Service) backup...

Okay, it's facing whoever is behind the monitor. My guess is that this came from Franko's setup. If you recall, he was hiring locals to help with his "internet business."

He probably had this wired up to shoot nails at whomever was behind the computer upon visiting non work related sites, chatting or sitting idle for more than 20 seconds. Honestly, I could use one of these to keep myself focussed.

Underwater closed circuit TV camera. Hard to tell what it's mounted on. Possibly a towed sled

As Kenny got the closest to it, yeah, it is a cam, a webcam.

I used the computer in Eddies Hotel in Cebu to check my mail. Before I switched it on I looked at this thingy and really could not figure out what it is. After starting the Hotel PC I suddenly saw my ugly face on the monitor and it was clear what that dubious construction was.

Anyway, it gave me a good laugh to start the day with...

    cheers

Does this mean that the rest of the equipment/s in the hotel are also "rigged" like this?

Was their any practical reason for mounting a webcam in the end of a nailgun?!
