    Hi folks
I have a Companion carer here in Thailand
I am wondering about the feasibility and cost in the Philippines'
I say the Philippines as I am unsure as to my best option to obtain reasonable priced accommodation in what area Prefer a beach rather than a city
Time will tell the answer for me
I have enjoyed the chit chat and learning curve
it is definitely more expensive than my 3 months back in 2009

Around Dumaguete you could expect to pay P4000 a month plus SSS and PhilHealth for a normal helper. My gf tells me that 'caregivers' can expect about P500 a day.
It sounds like you may be looking for something inbetween (with benefits?).

4000 plus plus is possible. I'm not quite sure what you mean with live in carer. Well, I could imagine. If this is the case 4000 by far not enough. Which is only fair I think. For you, all the benefits and no obligations. For her no benefits and many obligations.

If I read your post correctly, then my opinion about that behavior is an abuse of a poor person and personal I will have nothing to do with a person who acts like that.

Many minds on this forum go immediately to the gutter. Makes asking legitimate questions quite a chore sometimes.

My reply was to Swissrider. special to the sentence, for you all the benefits and no obligations. For her no benefits and many obligations. I know people here who have a housemade, they give many benefits, more than the law demands :happy::happy::happy:

I do not think he was referring to you Brian as you did not post the correlation between employing someone and 'gaining benefits'.

Occasionally someone arrives on the forum with very negative attitudes but it is not you in my opinion.
