Thanks for posting this, very interesting. I don't have the money or the availability to try this, but maybe I would if I had both. However, I imagine there might be other medical factors that those telomeres would not detect or predict, but not being in the medical field I have no idea. Also, no history yet to track the rate of accuracy.
    Would you try it??

I personally would never do a test like this.

The problem too is, if insurance companies, be it life insurance or pension funds, would get hands on the results of this test, how would you ever be able to get the proper coverage?

The life insurance would say sorry, you live not long enough and the pension fund would say sorry you live to long!

Until there will be an empirical study conducted and the results made public many years will pass and we all die of natural causes.

Oh the insurance companies are going to love this crap.
But seriously, even if it did work, what kind of sane person would want to know when he's going to die?
Not knowing that is part of the fun of livin' a life.

No thanks, looks like a scam for wealthy people. Someone like Howard Hughes would have gone for it. If they gave me a bogus report of soon gloom, the stress would probably bury me before the target date.

Interesting, I know a guy that was told by his doctor he had 1 year to live. he sold everything and came to the Philippines to enjoy his last year and blow all his money. Well to make a long story short, 3 years later he had been broke for 2 years. Lost track of him and never heard the rest of the story.
