I recently did a move from Olongapo to Valencia. I used a door to door service, a branch of Aboitiz (sp?). We had a carpenter make a crate and packed all our stuff in it. The company came and picked it up and drove it to manila and put in on the boat. They used Super Ferry to go straight to Dumaguete, skipping Cebu (couple of stops along the way, total of a 2 day trip). It cost around 50k, pricey but absolutely nothing you have to do other than make the crate, which was 10k. They came to the old apartment picked it up and dropped it off at the front door at the apartment in Valencia. You don't have to schedule the Ferry or anything like that, completely hands off.

Of course you could do this a lot cheaper if you wanted to rent a truck and do it yourself, I'm lazy, so I didn't go that route.

btw, they do have their own crates and will pack for you (additional cost I'm sure), but you are responsible for anything breaking. I found it best to pack my own stuff and ensure it was properly placed in the crate and taken care of.

Sweet deal! 10,000P for the crate? How big was it?

I made 9 heavy duty crates in the U.S. to ship my stuff over, all lined with 1" high density styrofoam and 100% water tight. I might have had $350 into all of them. I have 2 that are empty now if anyone would like to buy them off of me.
