FYI—-It was also used on river boats (TF117, Mobile Riverine Forces) and the 9th Infantry using modified APC’s in the Mekong Delta

She was napalmed by the South Vietnamese’s Air Forces, not US action, but the propaganda value by the anti war crowd was immense.

Especially if McNamara and LBJ had not been deciding the day to day strategies—fools in charge get poor results!

If your mission was to sweep after napalm strikes maybe you would have a different opinion.... as a battalion 1.4 it was my job to call in these strikes and join my attached company in sweeping the results... which btw included more children than you were led to believe... so yes I was deeply affected
oh, some of us ? where were you while this was happening... ?? All we ask for is a little respect for what we endured, which was the intent of my previous post... something you seem to lack by your response

OK, you got your way. We should shut down the thread and nobody should ever mention napalm again. To do so is to be disrespectful. For some reason I don’t see this shaming trait with Iraq war veterans like my son who experienced far more evil than this. Wonder why.
