it's a small world , Disney knew it in 1964 and we all realize it in 2011. -The city of Bangkok is flooded and factories all over the world run out of spare parts. -A first minister of a small country (Greece) is able to shake the financial markets worldwide. -One day we are in London and the next day in Hong Kong or even the same day in Los Angeles. -CNN,BBC World, Al Jazeera, have news 24/7 within seconds where ever it happen. -We all eat imported food from Brazil up to New Zealand. -And trough the internet we are connected with the world within fractions of seconds. Did I miss something, or do I get too slow nowadays?
My only concern Firefly is where will it all end ? I am beginning to believe it's better to switch off TV, Internet, Radio, stop reading paper's and the World would seem a better place! Either that or immigrate to the PI :D
That's just great. But I don't miss that speedy information so much I figured out since I live here in this 'slow' country. It hurts me however when the ATM's are again 'out of order' or I have to wait some minutes for the girl at the cashier to check the amount of the 3 items I just bought. For the rest (mainly ) I'm OK with the slower speed and no newspaper and hardly watching the small world around me. It feels great !
