⌛ Latest boat transfer to Apo Island?

    Hello, I am travelling to Apo Island in late march and will arrive in Dumaguete airport at 3:30pm.
    Is it possible for me to get to Apo Island in the same day or do i have to wait until next day?

    Dont think you can make it the same day as you would not get to Malatapay before or about dark. Your best bet would be to go the following day

    Where are you staying on Apo??..You could arrange transfer through them...then you could probably get there befor dark.,,Miguel

    Olawelin,

    much better if you go to apo island the next day after you arrive at 330pm in the airport coz it takes time to reach malatapay from the airport. But if youre in a hurry and brave enough to experience larger waves than what you expect you can rent banca from malatapay but most of the boatmen do not cross apo after 4pm because of the sudden changes of waves and wind directions. You will discover more if you reach this mystic island... try to be friendly to the folks of malatapay and apo you will enjoy listening to their mystical stories about apo island.

    My family also arrived at 3:30 and we arranged a transfer from the airport to the resort (Liberty Lodge). The cost was a 3500 peso and well worth it as it included the return boat trip a 5 days later.

    The resort (liberty lodge) can arrange a transfer (from the airport) with their own boat and a van. It costs about the same as doing it yourself.

    depending on the boat size (no roof 4=6 pax) can be found at 1700 including a full day around the island for diving/snorkeling etc if you dont wish to come back the same day arrangements can be made for pick up
