A 'local' foreigner (ALIEN :alien:) told me that there are very good sandy beaches within walking distance of the Liloan ferry terminal but a local-local (non ALIEN :angelic:) disagreed. Anyone been there (maybe by spaceship) and can give an opinion please.

I have been across on the ferry and drove about 20 minutes up the highway from the ferry (towards Moalboal) and went for a swim. The water was real clean but the ground was very rocky. The clarity of the water made it worth going in for a swim.

Ask a local in Hawaii (or any other tourist hot spot) where the good local places are and you will likely get the same kind of answer....and if you happen to stumble across it on your own they could very well be aggressive towards you on even the slightest infraction. Nothing screws up a nice quiet local spot like a bunch of tourists.

Nope but if the Bar is actually on the beach I might just get my feet a little hot in the sand

    You :devilish: man!

I have heard of a beach-bum but you are at least two feet (pun) below that!

One alien's nice beach is another's average beach. I would say there are more bad beaches than nice beaches in my experience. Nice being defined as a white powered sand with sandy ocean floor. This beach isn't right next to Liloan, but is in the Moalboal area. It's called white beach and pretty much a local hangout from what I saw.

Isn't that the beach that is more like white crushed coral than white sand? Very hard on the feet and as of last month was infested with those stinging urchins (the black spiky kind not the human kids).
