    Good morning...

What do you mean by "cheap", exactly? I stayed at South Seas Resort for $30/night which seemed very reasonable to me. Also, I have heard that Bethel Guest House and La Residencia are decent, though I'm not sure of the prices. Those are located in town, while South Seas is just north of town.

If you want really cheap and don't care about being far from the water, then Worldview could be another option. When I was there I think it was about $9 per night, though I have no idea about the accomodations themselves.

There's a page on this site with information about hotels in Dumaguete (though you'd have to call for prices):
    http://www.dumagueteinfo.com/dumaguete-hotels.php

    You have many options!

    area code for hotels

I was just looking at the list of hotels in Dumaguete and realized that the area code was not right in the first 2 entries ( Bethel and Coco Grande). It's supposed to be 035 and not 032. If I'm not mistaken, 032 is the area code for Cebu and not Dumaguete.
